the deep freeze

I've been scouring the net for days now trying to find out how to solve this problem and nothing.

So here it is hopfully someone can help.

I have an hp ze4125 with knoppix installed.

I'm using the Microsoft MN-520 wireless pcmcia card.

I've edited my /etc/pcmcia/config file to have these 3 lines

card "microsoft wireless notebook adapter mn-520 1.0.3"
adapter "microsoft", "wireless notebook adapter mn-520", "", "1.0.3"
bind "orinoco_cs"

afterwords I try to restart pcmcia with the /etc/init.d/pcmcia restart
and I get 1 beep lights on (on my card) and a freeze.

so I restart same thing, lights! beep! Freeze!

I want lights beep beep action. cause from what I've been able to gather there should be 2 beeps and then things will be going fine. (well I'll have to then configure a wireless network but that of course is next)

So any help is greatly appriciated
you can email me at nick.lang@colostate.edu
