tg3_stop_block timed out


Strange things going on with one Server.

DELL PE 860
Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4 (Nahant Update 4)


in moment of network loss /var/log/messages shows:

Oct 2 13:03:23 ds2 kernel: tg3: eth1: transmit timed out, resetting
Oct 2 13:03:23 ds2 kernel: tg3: tg3_stop_block timed out, ofs=2c00 enable_bit=2
Oct 2 13:03:24 ds2 kernel: tg3: tg3_stop_block timed out, ofs=1400 enable_bit=2
Oct 2 13:03:24 ds2 kernel: tg3: tg3_stop_block timed out, ofs=c00 enable_bit=2
Oct 2 13:03:24 ds2 kernel: tg3: tg3_stop_block timed out, ofs=4800 enable_bit=2




It`s happends Ramdonly. I cant trace the reason why? Please HELP

Please provide your kernel version, eth lspci info, and eth module version info.

Also, the first suggestion you are going to get is: Contact Red Hat Support. Rhel 4 is supported until 2017.

ye si googled for some weeks now. saw cuople of notes allready. But cant get to a solid conclusion.
