Testing Dnscrypt

How do you know if dnscrypt is working properly.
I ask this because i'v tested it using the website www.welcome.opendns.com, dnsleaktest.com and it says everything is working fine but when I test it against other sites like expressvpn.com and dnsleak.com it says dns is leaking. What is causing the problem.

Is there Another way to see if the dns queries are encrypted like using wireshark or something.

Installed Dnscrypt from Synaptic version 1.6.1-1
Operating system: Mint 18.2 sonya
x86_64 Linux 4.8.0-53-generic

Any help would be great.
