telnet service not found


Whenever I try to telnet or ftp from my linux box, I got these errors respectively:

telnet: tcp/telnet: unknown service
ftp: ftp/tcp: unknown service


These errors only occur for users that are not root. root can telnet and ftp just fine.

ntsysv and check telnet.
