Teaching Linux


in the next few days i have to give some students hands-on instruction
on the following subjects

Installing Linux
Modifying the Kernel Configuration
Compiling the Kernel
Installing the New Kernel
Configuring an NFS Server for Client Access
Installing and Configuring Samba
Configuring and Examining Network Interfaces and Services
Implementation and Administration of System Security
Examining the Pluggable Authentication Modules (PAM) Subsystem
Examining NIS
Using ipchains to Implement Basic Firewall Policies
Configuring Sendmail
Implementing POP/IMAP Email Services
Installing Apache Web Server
Implementing DNS
Implementing DHCP
Additional Network Services
Installing and Configuring an FTP Server
Transferring Files using FTP
Exploring Squid
Exploring innd NNTP
Exploring Time Services
Troubleshooting Linux

Linux, it could be Redhat 7.x 8.x 9;x

Any notes/documents/tips/links can help me on How_To
install/implement/configure the above subjects would
be really appreciated.

I second both suggestions (Rute is a really easy read for a technical manual - and its the best). You may want to peruse www.tldp.org as well. A few howto's might be a good tool for teaching (thinking about their somewhat condensed format)
