tcpdump output


Hey guys,

Can anyone tell me what the following tcpdump output is?

19:22:52.509707 ARP, Ethernet (len 6), IPv4 (len 4), Request who-has 1.1.1.1 tell 2.2.2.2, length 46

Layer 2 ARP requests

2.2.2.2 is on your network and needs to communicate with 1.1.1.1 but it doesn't know the mac address, so 2.2.2.2 has sent out an ARP request to the network to find out the mac of 1.1.1.1

Google will net you some more information if you do some searching.
