tcp & udp communication utility in linux


Unfortuantely, Hercules has no release for Linux OS. I want to install a similar utility so that I can see the tcp data transfer in every second. An image is read from tcp, I want to know how many images could I receive in every second. Thanks

Maybe some of the following tools are useful:
  • tcpdump
  • tcpflow
  • netcat
