Trying to use SWAT to config my server, when I run the samba configuration tool from the panel, I get a netscape window with error messages...
unable to locate server keyword.netscape.com. .. check server name and try again
and
warning following hosts unknown
home.netscape.com
home6.netscape.com
internic.net
this means that some or all hosts will be unreachable
?perhaps there is a problem with your nameserver?
Then some stuff about $socks_ns environment.
If i try to connect to 127.0.0.0:901/, I get netscapes connection refused by the browser, server may not be accepting connections or busy
In network configuration, lo and eth0 are active
What does it all mean, I am interpreting it as a netscape configuration problem, and trying to find new and exciting ways to configure netscape.
ok, sorry, just wanted to make sure.
Another wild guess: Did you adapt your FW settings to allow port 901?
Othwerwise it might be a routing thing and hell, I haven't gotten that to work myself.
SWAT now functioning, disabled firewall, and bought a big book, which said RH7 has SWAT disabled by default! Comment out disable=yes in xinetd.d/swat. Just got to figure out how to set password for win box to access RedHat, and all will be fine!
