Swat

Hi,

Is there anyway that you can administer SWAT from another machine on your network. Does it have to be done the linux server itself?

Thanks in advance.

From the SWAT man page:

Launching
To launch SWAT just run your favorite web browser and point it at "http://localhost:901/".

Note that you can attach to SWAT from any IP connected machine but connecting from a remote machine leaves your connection open to password sniffing as passwords will be sent in the clear over the wire.

Proberly you can only use it from your local box now if so you have to edit the file /etc/xinetd.d/swat (RedHat)
