SuSE 9.1 can't connect to internet through Apple Airport

I think I have a unique setup here.

The system is SuSE 9.1 with a D-Link DFE-530TX+ NIC. The rough setup of the network is:

Internet <-> Cable modem <-> Vonage phone modulator (Motorola VT1000v) <-> Apple Airport Extreme <-> Network switch <-> My machine (and a couple others in varying OS's)

I can ping the Airport and other machines on the Airport's network, but I cannot ping the phone modulator from the machine running SuSE. I have successfully pinged the modulator from other computers. (I'm actually writing this from a different computer on the same network.) It seems like SuSE is having trouble getting through the Airport, but I am unsure why. There are no address exceptions set up in the Airport. I have tried various settings in proxy, name servers, and even default gateways with no luck. Unless I am missing something blatantly obvious, I'm out of ideas. In my eyes everything looks like it should work.
