SuSe 8.0 Samba Client on NT Domain

Hi, I'm using SuSe 8.0 with KDE 3.0.4 desktop and have been trying to configure my PC so I can logon to my company's NT domain. They are using a Win2k Server with Active Directory.
Do I need to install Samba Server on my PC, or is Samba Cliient adequate? Also, I have not been able to locate a clear and detailed configuration template to get this done. The SuSe "cnf" info I have found is in German.
Thank you in advance.
