Super-slow server access
Hello everybody,
I have a Linux server running with Fedora Core 3... When I access it from my laptop, or any other computer on my local network, it runs incredibly slow. 5-10 Kbps
Here's how my network is configured:
I have 4 IP addresses coming in over my SDSL connection. The SDSL terminator is hooked into a switch. That switch has my server and a m0n0wall hooked to it, the m0n0wall of course going to my "local" network (In fact it also goes to quite a few other places in my neighborhood)
216.177.19.106 is my m0n0wall
216.177.19.108 is my server
Behind the m0n0wall is another switch, then my wireless AP, various other computers, and my laptop.
Pings, however, are quite quick. Under 1 ms. So I can't tell if it's a routing situation, perhaps, or if the services on the server are misconfigured. The server is a fresh install... but then again default configurations aren't the best for every situation, right? :-)
This is a mystery that has been going on for a little while. It's really irritating :-P
Thanks!
