Stubborn router

At the moment I can't get access to the web server (Monkey http Daemon) running on IP 192.168.0.185.

At one time it worked leading to PC 192.168.0.185.
I was able to shift it to PC 192.168.0.187 by changing the router settings but now none of the servers will act as a webserver no matter which IP I configure the router to. I have also tried resetting the router to defaults and cutting the power.

I did also set my router D-Link 604 to create web servers pointing to xxx185 and later xxx187 and even opening all ports through its DMZ (demilitarized zone)

The firewall (using Guarddog) is set to allow http traffic internally and externally.

How can we open access to the server?

Well, the router had changed the servers IP after a reset.

Can someone please check if they see a web page on http://83.92.35.50

Are you saying that you set up your NAT router to forward port 80 to one of the servers. Do you have physical access to the LAN or do you have to access it remotely. The first thing to check is that the web server daemons are running. Can you browse from the 192.168.0.185 server to the server at 192.168.0.187? Verify that the servers work locally before looking at the router.

I guess I took too long responding to your post and missed the updates.

Thanks to your both - it's a great relief to know it works. :-)

I had tons of problems after moving the hardwarez to 2 new cabinets. It started with switiching 2 hard disks and accelerated from there.

Flushed my MS XP running Abyss Web Server, but now I am actually happier for it as I could move the web server to a 233mHz mobile running DSL and saving power, heat and noise. MEPIS replaced MS XP.

BTW I got this free Compaq Armada PII but had to investe in new battery, ethernet card and latest a PCMCIA USB card. Guess I was better off buying a used new one! Anywayz; it's important it uses few resources.

Thanks again.

You might be able to find a used Compaq Pentium III server with a raid 5 array subsystem on e-bay relatively cheap. While it might consume more power, it would give you a redunant filesystem.
