strange samba error - help please
I'm getting a strange samba error when I try to connect to a windows shared folder. It's shared on winME (yuk) and is not password protected. I can ping this computer, the share shows on the windows network and is accessable, I can even connect to the internet through the windows connection sharing on this computer, which is how I'm online right now. So I know the network connection is good and functioning. When I try to connect to the share this is the error I get:
mount -t smbfs //192.168.0.1/folder /home/user/mountpoint
3499: session request to 192.168.0.1 failed (Called name not present)
3499: session request to 192 failed (Called name not present)
3499: session request to *SMBSERVER failed (Called name not present)
SMB connection failed
This computer connects to shares on other windows machines on a regular basis so I know that mounting smbfs shares works as well. I have only ever seen this error with this computer, this is a first since all other shares seemed to work very well.
Any ideas?
