Talking Strange alternate Pinging

In my local network all devices are connected via a switch, and every devices answer to ping adressed from my PC.
But 2 devices (Linux operated boxes) when one is answering my request, the other stop to answer.
And alternatively, when the other answer, the first stop answering.

3 devices
2 linux boxes
1 PC
Pinging from PC to the 2 others devices

When one is answering the other stops.
Then the other answer, and the first one stops.

What kind of switch is it? Have you tried it through a router or a hub just to rule out the switch? I like to rule out the easy stuff before I get too deep into troubleshooting...
