Store Management System

Hi,

I'd like to outsource a store management system and I'm thinking of running the server on Linux.

It'll be connected to internet. So I think I'll need firewall, also UPS and tape drive for backup.

Does anyone know where can I find more information on this?

I especially worried of whether linux have the drivers/software for all the hardware.

All suggestions will be welcomed!

There'll be no problems with the hardware drivers, it's all well used technology...

The software will be an interesting choice... what type of store, e-commerce, warehouse, data...

Have a start on www.google.com , it's a Linux focussing search engine with everything else as well.
