hey guys this squid is giving me problems.. i cant configure it i tried to configure it but i cannot edit the file i dont know why and please do tell me is this the only way to configure the squid through this text file dont this squid have any front end or what i have tried webmin.net but its not of that much helpo plz help urgently needed..

plz determine your Server or version linux exactely.
i have downloaded the webmin.. but now when i run the rpm file of it gives an error of signatured key id some kind of that..
i cannot install or what ever u can say it..
my linux version is redhat 9 i have a pentium four with 1.6 ghz processor 786 mb of ram 80gb harddrive and running linux on dualboot with windows 2000 ... so please help me

Hi,
The squid.conf is pretty commented and reading them will help you to understand it well. use any of the console text editors to edit and my favourate is nano for editing any conf files.

If U cant edit the file, pls let us know how you are trying to open it and whats the error you are getting.Pls post more info about how and what r u trying to do
