Starting vpn session from Desktop Icon Acer Aspire One

Hallo everyone, am new to Linux and this is my first post.
I have managed to configure a vpn connection on my Acer Aspire one running Linpus lite following instruction from
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...re-one-671585/
The problem is i can only start my vpn session from command line. Is there any way i can have the command am using (sudo vpnc <myvpn>) associated to an icon that i can click, on the desktop and have the command run in the background to start my vpn session?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Depends if you are using Gnome, KDE, etc. If you are using Ubuntu, which uses Gnome:

go to System -> Preferences -> Main Menu and this will create an icon where ever you want in the Menu.

If you want an icon on the desktop, Right-click on the desktop, choose "Create Launcher...", and fill out the information you need.
