Start-up question: print server
Hi,
I have a newbie question. My friend has a small office with 6 computers running Windows XP home. They all share a DSL connection and each has a seperate printer and there is one fancy office printer also. He would like monitor printing activity and users. Is a Linux server running Samba the way to go? and can I just use SuSE 9 pro or do I have to get a business server. Can I perhaps install Linux on one box as a dual-boot. Or maybe just turn one box over to Linux completely. Want to keep it simple and cheap and then start to learn this. Thanks for any pointers. |
I figured it out.
I just need to check printer options and select save copy. |
