SSH tunneling

Greetings,

Actually I'm having troubles with SSH tunneling , so I googled and got to this website [HTML]http://www.rzg.mpg.de/networking/tunnelling.html[/HTML]
the problem is that I can't "tunnel" thru to the daemon I've running on machine behind the Firewall/NAT.

I'm running this code on my local console:
Code:
ssh -l Myuser -L 77777:127.0.0.1:12345 domain.net cat -
basically the exact same thing that's told on the website , am I misunderstanding something?
and what should appear on netstat when the tunnel is opened?

P.S "domain.net" is a nick to replace the real address ,you know

thanks in advance

Have you forwarded port 22 on your Router/Firewall to your host computer? Would your host computer be running a firewall that would prevent you from completing a connection?
