okay so i have rsync and unison running on my network. i use a ssh-key passthrough thing to allow my pc to transfer files to my server. for some reason now that has stopped. i am running fc 29 kde on my pc and fc 29 server on my server. here is the code i run...
Code:
[user@server my_logs]$ ssh-copy-id -i /home/user/.ssh/id_rsa.pub user@server.ip
/usr/bin/ssh-copy-id: INFO: Source of key(s) to be installed: "/home/user/.ssh/id_rsa.pub"
/usr/bin/ssh-copy-id: INFO: attempting to log in with the new key(s), to filter out any that are already installed
/usr/bin/ssh-copy-id: INFO: 1 key(s) remain to be installed -- if you are prompted now it is to install the new keys
user@server.ip's password:
Number of key(s) added: 1
Now try logging into the machine, with: "ssh 'user@server.ip'"
and check to make sure that only the key(s) you wanted were added.
[user@server my_logs]$ ssh server.ip
user@server.ip's password:
i have been doing this for years now and for some reason now it is saying it passes the ssh token to my server and i can see it in the known hosts file but when i try and 'ssh user@server' it asks for my password so unison and rsync cannot sync.
anyone know what the deal is?

Reason: security
thanks wpeckham but yeah, that is how i figured it out. when i checked my server ip it said the permissions were out of whack. the odd thing is it worked prior on the same set-up and all. just stopped working at some point and i am certain i changed nothing...
