ssh onto an embedded board

Hi All,
not sure if this is a networking or programming issue. Think it falls into networking.
What I did, I set up a ssh connection to an embedded board. This works fine.
But the fastest way to use this is to cross compileand have a rootfs mounted over the network on my pc rather than using the flash on the board. I used buildroot to produce the flash rootfs and the NFS rootfs. So I set up NFS in uboot, it's working fine. I'm now mounting my filesystem via the network from my pc. However when I try to log in via ssh it reported a key problem in the hosts file. Looking this up the advice was to delete the line from the file. I did so. Now when I tried it asked my to produce a new key, I answered yes. It asks for a password, so I tried my original, it won't take it. I tried with "ssh 192.168.0.72" then "ssh -l root 192.168.0.72" No luck. I then tried to change the board ip to .73, so it tries to set up a new key, it asks me for password then won't get me enter. I think I'm going a bit mad with this, have tried everything I can find on goole but no luck. Can and anyone advise? I did a shh -vvv for a fill output below
Code:
 ssh -vvv 192.168.0.73

Hi,

I think you need to look at what sshd is logging for answers. Being an embded system this may be easier said than done. What sshd is it running? Eg dropbear?
