SSH-ing to computer behind router

Hi,

I have a router in my room with a couple of computers (running Fedora Core 3) connected to the router. Now obviously the router gives them local 192.xxx ip addresses.

How can I access these computers from outside the router? What IP do I use? Do I need to chage any settings?

Thanks

I presume you want to access the computers from somewhere else on the internet (ie at work/school etc).

You will use the ip address assigned to the router from your ISP. you will also have to do this on port 22.

Basically, you will need to open port 22 on the router and forward that connection through to the computer on which you plan to run the ssh server.
