SSH - How can i alllow someone SSH to my network from Internet - please help me
This is my network diagram:
<<<Internet>>>----<<<Modem>>----<<eth0+++eth1>----<LAN>.
IP received from ISP: 203.113.2.x (dynamic)
Modem IP: 192.168.11.1
eth0: 192.168.11.2
eth1: 192.168.1.1
LAN: 192.168.1.x
Sometime i work at another place, however i also want to ssh to my Linux gateway from my place.
How can i configure my Linux gateway to allow me SSH to Linux gateway from anywhere? I have to edit my iptables, am i right?
NAT is configured from Internal to External.
Please help me solve the problem. Thank you very much.

yes u need to configure NAT from external to internal to allow ssh

hi there
i am not cofortable with writing IPtables scripts
so i prefer shorewall (shorewall.net) to do that for me and it has a pretty easy setup for that

also you may want to get a dns name from www.dyndns.org or some other similar service (they are free) since you have a dynamic address. and configure your system to update your ip to the service.
