Question ssh have no response after logged in when input some command

We have a remote machine(Ubuntu 12.04.1) in Austin, and I normally ssh to the server to coding. Today I switch the city I lived, and used local networks to ssh. But I found that I couldn't, when I ssh to the machine, after a while the ssh have no response and stuck, any ways to find the problem?

Is the connection still there? Can you login again from another window and check whether the original login session is still there, e.g. issue who.
