Squirrel mail problems

Hey all,
Im running on fedora core 3.
Im using eXtremail as a mail client.

I installed squirrelmail and set it up. When i go to mydomain.com/webmail and login it brings me to what would be squirrelmails main page when you first enter but theres a big error on the page.

ERROR : Bad or malformed request.
Query: SORT (ARRIVAL) ISO-8859-1 ALL
Server responded: UID command incorrect

Any ideas? top left it says its in the INBOX folder i can switch to
any of the options on top:
Compose Addresses Folders Options Search Help

EXCEPT Folders and Search. They give me the same error.
