squid transparent + dansguardian inside lan behind firewall

hi there

trying to get some sort of content filtering set up. would it be possible to run squid proxy in transparent mode with dansguardian inside local lan (only one interface) and then point the router which has the web proxy option to point to the internal ip of the proxy server in order to filter all http requests transparently ? what would be a good set up to cover mutliple offices (different wan locations) with content filtering. would designated vps be a better solution? thanks
