squid NTLM IE prompt

hi there,

i'm running

and i'm using squid's auth_ntlm and it's working at the moment, but for some reason instead of getting the password and username seamlessly a username/password prompt comes up. can anyone tell me how to stop this, the machines are part of a domain and i have configured winbind.

i followed the sets on my LUG website.
