FATAL: Could not determine fully qualified hostname. Please set 'visible_hostname'
You got to mention
Code:
visible_hostname anything.com
unique_hostname anything.com

2006/10/18 14:05:53| ACL name 'all' not defined!

Make sure you do not have any use of acl name "all" prior of its defining.

FATAL: Bungled squid.conf line 1864: http_access deny all
in vi editor goto that line & check what is wrong with it.

2006/10/18 14:33:11| parseConfigFile: line 121 unrecognized: ' htcp_port 3128'

it got to be
Code:
http_port 3128
2006/10/18 14:47:46| parseConfigFile: line 121 unrecognized: ' htcp_port 4827'
again at line 121, you got to write it as
Code:
http_port 4827
( i think you would be aware that you are going to run your squid to work @ 2 ports.)

squid: ERROR: Could not read pid file
/var/run/squid.pid: (13) Permission denie
d
You got to mention
Code:
cache_effective_user nobody
cache_effective_group nobody
in your squid.conf or mention any other username if you want to use some other.

Please correct all of them & reply back if you any error further persists.

Squid not working

Me too i have almost same problem with squid. When i try to start the service(Centos 6.7) it's failed. PID file cannot be created in /var/run/. (/var/run/squid.pid: (13) Permission denied)
My workaround is to switch selinux enforcing to permissive, pid file will be created and service will start.
What can i do ?
Thank you!

Problem was solved according this great article:
