squid bandwith usage for users

hi there,

i've setup squid at the moment via winbind/ntlm and i want each user to only be able to download X amount from the internet each month.

i was wondering if squid can do this, if so what should i be searching for and does anyone know of a good how-to for it?

Think you want delay pools within squid. Haven't tried it myself, but have read the gist of it all. Check out http://www.squid-cache.org/Doc/FAQ/FAQ-19.html#ss19.8 from the Squid FAQ's and also http://www.faqs.org/docs/Linux-HOWTO...TO.html#AEN287 and quick howto on bandwidth limiting with the squid delay pools.

Let me know how it goes if you get it going!
