squid 3.
i am using Version 3.0-PRE3-20051227, and getting frequently error in /var/log/messages
Dec 31 19:40:33 pf squid[2280]: Squid Parent: child process 24839 exited due to signal 6
Dec 31 19:40:36 pf squid[2280]: Squid Parent: child process 24932 started
can any one help

According to man kill signal 6 is a core ABRT abort..
Could be a bad compile of squid or a lib mismatch..
Did you compile it yourself or is it a binary?

i compiled it, where can i find squid 3.0 stable (latest) rpm for fedora core 4. or can i convert it to rpm.
i used
rpmbuid -tb squid-3.0.****.tar.gz
getting error, is some way else to do this.

You need to report this to the squid developers first.
Usually, someone else with Fedora will have had a similar problem.
Have a close look at the compile logs for any errors/warnings.
