Speed Touch 350 as a router

I have speed touch 350 , a switch connected to it and two boxes. One linux and one windows. The windows box is working fine and can access the internet but i cannot manage to set the linux box to access the internet! So...

I am runing fedora core 3. I have setup the defaul gateway as 10.0.0.138 and when I am checking the routes using route command they seem to be ok. What could be the problem? (if u need additional info just let me know thx loads :-) )
