source code of ifup


hi all,

can anyone give me the link to source code of ifup

ifup will most likely be a bash script located in /usr/sbin. So you only need the less command or your favorite editor to examine the source.

well,

1) ifup is in /sbin
2) is it a C program

Type in "file /sbin/ifup" to make sure it is a compiled program. I have SuSE and mine is a bash script. If it is a compiled program, then determine which package it came from and install the source package to get the source.

On my computer, it calls the "ip" program with is a compiled C program.
