"Sorry, modem busy"
dear friend,
i configured my modem under red hat 7by using kppp.
i gave in th isp's telephone no.,usr name & pwd
As my modem is at COM-4 so i set the device as /dev/ttyS3
Now when i click on connect or try "Query Modem"
it responds by saying "Sorry, modem busy".
i've tried re booting.
all works fine in Windows.
i'm also confused as what DNS entries should i give.
I am using the 10 hour pack from HCL Infinet
Kindly Help

the problem sounds like the modem isn;t detected. is it a winmodem? (in windows does 'win' feature in the name or HCF?
or is it a ISA one? if it is then it should work. it'll just need some elbow greese to get it working.
