Some strange scenario about NAT
Hi guys,
I'll try my best to picture your the scenario...
We have a voice server created for flight simulator software. This voice server is pretty old and it's not open source so we can't make any changes to the software.
The software runs with a configuration file and that file asks for the IP that the server will be running.
When we run the voice server, it connects to the master server and handshakes and telling it's online with the IP we provided in the configuration file.
Everything works fine in our main server, but we also have a backup one runs on a virtual machine (Host: Win7 Guest: Ubuntu) The network is bridged and the guest machine gets a LAN IP from my router with no problems. (Router is TILGIN HG1311)
The main problem is, when we run the voice server with LAN IP configuration it identifies itself to the main server using the LAN IP, so the clients can't connect tho.
Is there way that I can force my guest OS use the WAN IP instead of LAN IP? My router can't handle NAT loopback by the way.
Thanks a ton anyways...
/Anil
