Some sort of redirect with iptables?
Hi!
In my home, i have a slack server, acting as a firewall etc witch also is running a virus-scanning proxy for web, mail, ftp etc..
As it is today, I have to set up the server as a proxy on all the clients, adding ip and port.
I was wondering, is it possible to make some kind of redirect to the port where the proxy is?
Something like, client makes a request to a web page some where, the server redirects the request to the local port of the proxy, and from there, to the web page?
/ Tomas

Thnx!
I didnīt have to install squid cause my proxy was possible to handle transparent mode, but I found the rule for iptables i was looking for,
iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -i $INTERFACE -p tcp --dport 80 -j REDIRECT --to-port $PORT,
You are my hero of the day
