SNMP problem

Hey guys, i'm trying to set up Cacti and i really have no idea what i'm doing. I know very little about SNMP and nothing on how to configure it. Can anyone point me to some documentation or offer some advice on how to do this?

Not even the ping latancy graph is working for me right now.

I've never used it(looks cool though) but, you might want to try learning some SNMP commands.

http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/tutorial/tutorial-5/

Also, you should make sure that you have the latest MIB's for whatever device you are monitoring.
