SNMP enable Suse 9

Hi all, I have a pretty much fresh install of Suse 9 enterprise (evaluation) I want to be able to monitor SNMP stuff on this machine. I have the GUI Getif 2.2 and can access other devices on my local network and collect SNMP info. I cannot get anything from my Suse machine. I can however once locally on it run commands like:

snmpget -v1 -Cf -c public localhost system.sysUpTime.0 system.sysContact.0

and get the correct info so I know SNMP is running. What could be stopping Getif form connecting to the Suse machine on my local network? anything else I need to configure?
Thanks
phil
