How do i known if my snmp is running???

# service --status-all | grep snmp

i did that and it gave me the following:

[root@decatur html]# service --status-all | grep snmp
Please run makehistory and/or makedbz before starting innd.
rndc: Couldn't find server 'localhost': Name or service not known
Server address not specified in /etc/sysconfig/netdump
snmpd is stopped <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
snmptrapd is stopped <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
squid: ERROR: No running copy

oh, i added the <<<<<<<<<<<<<< just to point em out

if snmp is runnign you should see the following message:

snmpd (pid 1073) is running...
