SMTP steup
I am running a business which has a linux server (red hat 7).
I would like to open port 25 and use it to receive e-mail into the smtp server. (this I know how to do) What is my problem: the server has a domain "myserver.loc" with various user accounts. it can send and recieve email addressed somebody@myserver.loc. Once I open the SMTP port I would also like it to route messages to 'somebody' which are sent to "domainname.com" I tried to just open the port and change the MX record, but all mail gets rejected because the server does not "relay" any ideas? BTW, I have only telnet access, so please help with commands (I'm just beyond newbie status) |
i spent HOURS, and HOURS on this
AND, i did get it to work....(i think) (redhat 8.0, sendmail 8.12.8) this ONE page, made all the difference: http://www.ists.dartmouth.edu/IRIA/k...ssh-how-to.htm good luck... it was a BEAR........ |
