I am trying to set up SMTP -server on SuSE 9.1 that resides on my personal computer. I have smtpd running, what needs to be done to get outcoming and incoming mail work? So far i have got "unable to deliver the message due to a communication failure".

More precisely, i have a GNATS and GNATSweb (browser-based testing environment) installed, they are working fine but i need mail bug reports from Outlook transferred to GNATSweb and vice versa.

If any SuSE users have some information about installing and configuring smtp, thanks.

Install Postfix. It's easy to setup and well documented however you probably won't be able to configure it using YaST. I'm working on a Postfix tutorial. I'll post a link when it's finished.
