smoothwall and rehat 8

im currently administrating a small network I just got done setting up a smoothwall firewall and im using DHCP on the green card. its working great and all of my windows computers are running smoothly they get there IP and they can connect to the internet withought any problems.....the problem is that i have one Redhat 8 workstation that cant get through the firewall. it get an IP just fine and i can see all of the other internal computers and servers. but it wont go through the firewall to the internet.... I think it must be some kindof routing problem im just not sure what I need to do to fix it?

When you say that the RedHat machine can't get onto the internet, do you mean that you can't connect to websites, or you just can't connect period? Have you tried pinging an external web server by IP? I had some strange problems with my RedHat 8 box when I put it behind a router. It would accept the DNS info provided by the router via DHCP (which was actually the routers IP), but it would not resolve any names. I ended up removing the DNS provided by the DHCP and entering in the DNS IP manually, and it has worked fine since then.

I don't know if this is the same issue, but it sound similar enough that it might help.

Also, the firewall setup on redhat can be a bit finickey at times, and that might have something to do with it as well. If you can give some more specifics of your Redhat and network setup maybe we can narrow it down.
