smc router print server redhat 9
Howdy! Man, I love using this redhat 9! It's excellent... until something does not work well.
I have been using the printer manager (?) to install a new printer. The printer is connected to a smc router (as a print server). My win 98 box connects just fine with the client provided by smc so I know the server works. The queue type I am using is network jetdirect. The router's ip is 192.168.2.1 (the default), I leave the port at 9100, the driver is hp682c and when I apply I can see the router "talking" but the error says my redhat box could not connect. Is there another port or perhaps is the firewall on the router preventing connection? I just received it and and left all the defaults alone. What do you think?
