smbclient NT_STATUS_DUPLICATE_NAME

im trying to scan a WinXp box for shares and i cant seem to get it right.

the syntax is smbclient -L Operator -I 192.168.2.1

the error is

"tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_DUPLICATE_NAME"

the name of my linux box si different from that of my XP box, also i can browse shares on the xp box from the linux box and vice-versa. Im guessing theres something im missing here(a config perhaps)

Samba version : 3.0.4

thank you very much

p.s.: there wasa similar thread on the forums but it lacked a comprehensive answer since me . Also any aditional info you might need please request and i will post
