Exclamation smb share


i hav shared my bin folder of root dir ,
but y any one can't access that

is it bcos it's in root dir ?????

Can you provide some details please?
( Like the error messages and the part of smb.conf relative to this ?)

Can you give some _details_ please? I'm not in front of your computer.

-How are you trying to access this folder? Using smbclient? Using smbmount or mounting the drive? From a windoze client?
- What is the _exact_ command you are typing/using when tryign to access this share? Have you tried to force a password?
- What have you added to your smb.conf to share this folder, can you post it, as I asked earlier?
- Are you trying to access this folder as guest or with a user? Is your user already configured, mean the account created using smbpasswd?
- Do you have any others share that work?
-What's your samba version?
- What's your kernel version and distribution name and version?

ans are----
From a windoze client
we r running \\ip command
it didn't ask for password
yesit is added smb.conf
yes it has pass
all other share work properly
distribution is suse 9.3
