SMB Share

Hi,

I need to share or map a linux /home directory from a windows system
did all the configurations but while mapping, it requires passwd.

Which passwd do i need to provide to share the directory for write access.

hi ..
what i came to know is you want to configure ur samba and you want to share ur files for windows user..

for this you should follow these steps..
ok
1.configure ur samba settings and be sure that ur samba service is started..ok
2. make a guest account by writing following command on terminal
#adduser guest
ok
and then again go to you samba and try to share ur file and given authentication to file with appropriate user and sufficient user...ok
this will definately help you out...
