SMB (Can't Display Location)
Hi,
I'm new guy here i have letel problem in the (Fedora Core) when i click on the Network Server it will show me this message, could you please someone help me... Couldn't display "smb:///", because Nautilus cannot contact the SMB master browser. Check that an SMB server is running in the local network. |
Disable your firewall (service iptables start) and if its works, then add ports 137/tcp and 138/tcp as allowed ports in your firewall configuration.

I just learned you can just mark Samba in the firewall configuration window to enable your box to browsing windows shares.

I tryed to do that, but maybe my (Fedora Core) is that problem, because when I'm disable the firewall it's Automatically eanble as well as when i'm restart the Fedora Care. I thought I will be downalod form the web site it's better than when i'm buying from the shope , or if you have any solulion please give to me as soon as possible
Thank the professional guy... |
