SMB (Can't Display Location)
 
Hi,
I'm new guy here i have letel problem in the (Fedora Core) when i click on the Network Server it will show me this message, could you please someone help me...

Couldn't display "smb:///", because Nautilus cannot contact the SMB master browser.
Check that an SMB server is running in the local network.

Disable your firewall (service iptables start) and if its works, then add ports 137/tcp and 138/tcp as allowed ports in your firewall configuration.

I just learned you can just mark Samba in the firewall configuration window to enable your box to browsing windows shares.

I tryed to do that, but maybe my (Fedora Core) is that problem, because when I'm disable the firewall it's Automatically eanble as well as when i'm restart the Fedora Care. I thought I will be downalod form the web site it's better than when i'm buying from the shope , or if you have any solulion please give to me as soon as possible

This sounds like your Samba server is not running!? Try 'service smb start' as root. If this was the problem and you want it started every time you boot up - click the checkbox in front of Samba in teh services configuration panel (System->Administration->Server Settings->Services)...
