I'd like to install Telnet on a Redhat 8 box. I have enabled telnet in the /etc/xinetd.d/telnet file (put it to enable) and now it prompts me for a login and password.
So fine so good, but it does not recognize my password. I'm using the same combination as I always do. I cannot think of any other passwords on my box.
1) What are the 'normal' passwords, are they the same as the root password?
2) Even better...how can I change these passwords?
I know that most of you will advice me to use SSH...I agree, but that's working already so there's no challenge ;-)
Thanks, this is what I get: It is asking me for a login and password...(the Login and password are the same as I use to login as root). Any ideas?
