Slower connection to Internet after SuSE FW

Hi friends, this is my first post here, I can be helped and to help others. We have a (working) installation, but now we configured the SuSE 9.0 firewall to protect the network and do NAT, (IP Forwarding), so all the users connect thru the Linux box ... everything works okey, but the speed is slower ...

I put on /etc/resolv.conf

search xxx
nameserver x.x.x.x

Where both they belong to the DNS (the ISP). The connection is a ADSL 768 kbps and the Linux Server has 3 Giga ethernet NICs ... Also the Server have enough empty HDD space (>100 Gigas free) and memory (2 Gigas).

Any ideas? Thanks,
/\T/\R|

How are you doing the nat? Masquerade is slower than SNAT...

do iptables-save to get the rule list on your screen and then post them here.
(Remove your ip number etc)
