Slow User Level Security in Samba

If I set my Security Level = User the server maxes out the cpu usage and runs incredibly slow.

If however I set the Security Level = Share. Its hardly touches the cpu and flies along.

I really need to use User Level Security unless it is unavoidavle to change, so does anybody know how to speed up User Level Security?

Thanks in Advance.
